Q1Can I view and approve documents within M2?
Yes, any document uploaded into M2 can be viewed and if an approval is required, the appropriate reviewer can approve. No downloads or printing.
Q2Does M2 replace the paper permit?
Not entirely. M2 manages the entire lifecycle from set up and approval to issuance and suspension or closure. When a permit is issued, a physical copy can be printed and kept with the contractors and safety teams.
Q3How is access controlled?
BlueCats has it's own identify management platform or M2 can integrate with Entra ID and Active Directory.
Q4Does M2 work with OneTag?
Yes, with configuration they can work together. One example is preventing a permit from being issued if the required isolations are not active in OneTag. This can work in the opposite scenario as well.
Q5Can we use our own permit forms?
Permit types are built from configurable templates — general permit to work, confined space, hot work, heights, diving and more — with new types added as your requirements evolve.
Q6Can I configure user roles within M2?
Yes, user roles can be created, and underlying permissions can be defined at both the user role and the individual level.
